Looks like my DSL connection is down (the DSL light on the DSL modem is off). I will be contacting my ISP tomorrow (Telecom always insists that you forward all queries to your ISP first, even if the fault is with Telecom), since it seems that their tech support line is not currently open.
At the moment, I am connecting to the internet via my old disused xtra account. It works at a snail's pace (compared to the JetStream performance I've been used to—give me a break!), but it'll do for the moment. I will spend this time doing urgent work, like downloading security patches to the operating system.
Until I get my DSL connection back, however, I will receive no email. (All my mail eventually gets to either a hedgee.com or a chrysanthemum.acro.gen.nz address, both of which are served via my DSL connection.) Meanwhile, you may be getting automatic notifications that mail is not being successfully delivered to me.
So, I'm sorry if you sent any email that required urgent attention. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
